Billings Tips

Getting Acquainted with Town

Billings has several distinct areas of town for you to explore. We've put together the map and guide below to help you get acquiainted and better navigate town.

The West End

The "west end" is where the host hotel, The Billings Hotel and Convention Center is located. You'll find Rimrock Mall, Target, and other large chain stores and familiar restaurants too. Tucked in between, you can find a few local gems as well.

Shiloh Crossing

Even further west, you'll find one of Billings' most recent developments, Shiloh Crossing. Locally-owned boutiques can be found in this area along with Scheel's, a sporting goods store that's so much more (it has a ferris wheel, bowling lane, home decor, and more). Several restaurants are also in the area.

Grand Avenue

Grand Avenue is a popular street that goes all the way from the west to downtown. Popular eatery, The Local, can be found off of Grand along with West Park Promenade where Lucky's Market is located along with the popular boutique, Apricot Lane.

Downtown Billings

#LifeIsDowntown. In Downtown, you'll find the most densely filled area of local bars, restaurants, breweries, and shops. You'll definitely want to spend some time here. Be sure to stop at Big Dipper ice cream for a scoop of handmade ice cream and on a freshly made waffle cone. You'll also find some great art galleries to pop into and can catch a show at the ArtHouse Cinema & Pub or Babcock Theater.

The Billings Heights

The Billings Heights is a popular residential area with easy access to the airport. Businesses in the heights serve the needs of those residing there. The Vig Alehouse is a popular heights hangout with delicious bar food with a twist and trivia and beer bingo weekly. It's a fun spot to hang with the locals.
